2. Requirements
Education
Minimum (Essential): Diploma in engineering or technical field
Minimum (Suggested): Degree in engineering or technical field
Experience
Minimum Work Experience: 5 years
Required Nature of Experience: Experience in operational / manufacturing positions
Computer Literacy
Essential: Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint); Ability to operate and interact with software used for laboratory and test equipment, such as:
Vector Network Analyser (VNA) software
Spectrum analyser and signal generator interfaces
Data capture and measurement tools
Suggested: Matlab
Language Proficiency
English: Essential
Finnish: An advantage

Prototype Assembly & Hands-on Engineering Support | 25% | • Build, assemble, and rework engineering prototypes in close collaboration with the responsible design engineer. • Support the design engineer during prototype builds, ensuring alignment with design intent. • Perform cable assembly, including wire harness preparation and termination. • Carry out PCB population and soldering. • Assist with antenna and mechanical assembly of products and prototypes. • Use Assembly Instructions prepared by the design engineer. • Verify clarity and completeness of Assembly Instructions during builds. • Provide feedback on ambiguities or missing steps in Assembly instructions |
Storage + Lab Organisation & Infrastructure | 20% | • Maintain a clean, organised laboratory and storage environment. • Organise tools, components, and equipment. • Responsible to manage consumables and stock levels. • Coordinate equipment calibration and maintenance. • Ensure compliance with ESD and safety procedures. |

Production & Supplier Support | 10% | • Provide support to production and contract manufacturers, including production test limits setting (is conjunction with design engineer), maintenance and upgrades of production test equipment. • Assist with assembly and integration challenges. • Travel to suppliers when required. |
Documentation & Process Support | 10% | • Support preparation of Assembly Instructions and documentation. • Assist in the development of lab SOPs. • Improve usability of documentation. • Develop induction and training material on lab facilities and equipment |
