Vice Admiral Robert Cooling, CB

Independent Non–Executive Director and Chair

Following a 34-year career in the Royal Navy culminating in the role of Chief of Staff in NATO’s Supreme Command in the United States, Bob has served on the boards of both UK listed and private entities in the technology and financial services sectors. He joined the Alaris team in 2016 as a Director of Alaris Investment Holdings UK registered in London. Subsequently he was appointed as non-executive chair of Alaris Linwave in 2021 and continues to enjoy working with a superb team of engineers at the leading edge of RF technology based in Lincoln, UK. Bob assumed the role of non-executive chair of the Alaris The RF Technology Group board in July 2025 and now leads an executive team of hugely talented individuals, supported by non-executive members, who collectively offer a wealth of current experience at the highest level in RF technology, manufacturing, and retail. Alongside senior representatives of the company’s investor group this is a board of directors with the breadth and depth of experience to guide the company to achieve its full potential in the global marketplace, whether that involves building defence related systems and products or working with a broad range of commercial customers in the defence, aeronautical, space, medical technology and other sectors.

Independent Non–Executive Director

Richard is an experienced director who has led a number of business operations supplying semiconductor, RF, and electronics subsystems to OEMs in the telecom, aerospace, defence, and LEO space market. Richard joined Filtronic plc, an AIM listed RF solutions provider, as CEO on 1 September 2020 before retiring in 2024, following the successful conclusion of a major partnership agreement with SpaceX.  He joined Filtronic from Micross Components, where he was Managing Director.  Prior to his time at Micross, Richard spent nine years at E2V Technologies, where he was Group Sales & Marketing Director and President of the RF Product and Hi-Reliability Semiconductors Divisions. He also spent 20 years with Honeywell, of which 10 years were spent managing overseas operations in Asia, Europe, and the USA. Richard joined the board of Alaris The RF Technology Group on 1 July 2025.
Juergen Dresel

Juergen Dresel

Group CEO

Juergen completed his IT and Telecommunication studies with a Dipl. Ing degree at the Technical University of Munich, Germany in 1993. In 2000, he completed an MSc in electrical engineering at Wits University. Juergen started his engineering career with work that comprised antenna design and development in the frequency range from 10 kHz up to 6 GHz, antenna placement simulations, and project management. In 2005, Juergen took over the management of the defence section of Poynting Antennas where he concentrated his efforts on management and sales of large Defence-related projects. In 2000 Juergen was appointed to the Poynting board of directors. He was part of taking the company public in 2008 and became group CEO of Alaris Holdings in 2015.

Group CFO

Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Head of HR. Chris trained and qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 1996 and registered auditor in 1998, working in a local accountancy practice where he became Partner. He specialised as a Lead Advisor with Grant Thornton's corporate finance team in 2000, focused on SME's and traditional industries, providing advice, working with management teams alongside financial institutions and professional advisors on a range of transactions and mandates before leaving the profession in 2005 to focus on a career in industry. Prior to joining the Alaris Group in May 2023, he held Finance Director and CFO positions in both privately owned and listed businesses operating within manufacturing/engineering and SAAS/software businesses within market sectors including decorative corrugated print and packaging/point of display; automotive design/ niche vehicle build /composite materials development; electro-mechanical engineering, and geospatial software.
Chris Neser

Non-executive Director

Chris Neser has over 5 years’ experience in investment advisory and strategic involvement in Operating Entities, Asset Management and Group Restructuring. He has been extensively involved on boards of various investment entities with experience in hedge funds and unit trusts, including the listing of the Pivotal Fund in 2014 and Tadvest Limited in 2016. This includes the restructure and enhancement of balance sheets of companies within the Abcon Group of Companies. Chris completed his studies in accounting at the University of Stellenbosch in 2010 and qualified as a CA(SA) in 2013. He started his career at Deloitte in financial institutions auditing, completing his articles at their Cape Town office followed by a secondment in San Francisco.
Ross Logan

Ross Logan

Non-executive Director

Ross studied at the University of Stellenbosch, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) in 2015. Following his studies, Ross completed his articles at Deloitte Johannesburg in their financial services division, where he qualified as a CA(SA). He is also a CFA Charterholder. In 2019, he undertook an international rotation with Deloitte in Prague, before joining Louw & Company, a financier of South African mid-market businesses. During his three-year tenure at Louw & Company, he was involved in the issuance of over R1-billion of commercial paper through the Cape Town Stock Exchange, and the deployment of this capital through alternative credit investments.Ross worked in the investment team at TC Ventures, a private equity firm backed by Transaction Capital Limited, before joining RMB Corvest in 2024. Ross joined the board of Alaris The RF Technology Group on 1 July 2025.

    Alaris Holdings and Alaris Antennas (formerly Poynting Innovations and Poynting Antennas) founded in 1997 as a software and antenna design consultancy based at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

  • Alaris Group
    Alaris Antennas joins the Alaris Group

    Alaris Antennas (formerly Poynting Defence & Specialised Antennas) officially became part of the Alaris Group in 2015, when it underwent a name change and was formally integrated under the Alaris Group umbrella.



  • Acquisition of COJOT
    Alaris Group

    COJOT (Finland) was acquired by Alaris The RF Technology Group Ltd in 2016. Founded in 1986, Alaris COJOT is a well-respected and long-established Finnish company, designing and developing antennas for tactical communication, electronic warfare and spectrum monitoring applications.


  • Alaris mWave
    Acquisition of mWave

    In 2018 Alaris The RF Technology Group Ltd acquired mWave. Alaris mWAVE provides innovative microwave antennas, custom feeds, horns, and systems from 100 MHz to 125 GHz, ensuring reliable connectivity for critical applications in the harshest environments.

    Establishment of Alaris USA

    Sister company, Alaris USA is born providing elite RF and microwave components alongside advanced antenna systems, empowering US missions with superior connectivity and performance.


  • Alaris Linwave
    Acquisition of Linwave Technologies

    In 2021 Alaris The RF Technology Group Ltd acquired Linwave Technologies. Alaris Linwave crafts advanced microwave and RF components, seamlessly transforming concepts into high-performance solutions by utilising our full range of design, qualification, manufacture and testing capabilities.

    Alaris The RF Technology Group Ltd has officially de-listed from the Johannesburg Stock Exchange’s AltX platform.     In 2022 Alaris Group acquired German based company Kuhne Electronic. Alaris Kuhne crafts high-quality RF and microwave solutions, from power amplifiers to down converters, enabling seamless point-to-point communications, medical ablation, and cutting-edge applications like broadcast and EMC testing.
