This position requires full-time presence at our Centurion, South Africa office.

Job Purpose

We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Incoming Quality Inspector to oversee our receiving quality processes. In this critical role, you will ensure that all incoming parts, materials, and assemblies meet our rigorous standards for compliance, workmanship, and usability before they ever hit the production line.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Minimum (Essential): Grade 12 / NQF 4 (with Minimum Grade 12 Mathematical Literacy).

  • Desired (Advantageous):

    • Technical or Trade Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic fields.

    • Practical exposure to ISO standards.

    • Exposure and active certifications to IPC standards and requirements.

Applicable Experience

  • Proven Track Record: Solid experience in Quality Inspections and Incoming Quality Control (IQC).

  • Industry Background: Direct experience within demanding, high-precision sectors such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Defense industries.

Systems & Computer Literacy

  • Essential: Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy (Windows file search, web browsing, email).

  • Preferred: Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

  • Language: Fluent English proficiency.

Critical Competencies & Core Skills

  • 🔴 CRITICAL – Inspection Excellence: Extensive experience in conducting comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of diverse parts and assemblies. Proven ability to verify compliance, workmanship, tolerances, and usability.

  • 🔴 CRITICAL – Metrology & Equipment: In-depth, hands-on proficiency and advanced technique using various mechanical and digital measuring instruments (e.g., thread gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.).

  • 🔴 CRITICAL – Precision: Exceptional and unwavering attention to detail.

  • Technical Blueprints: Ability to flawlessly read and interpret technical drawings to ensure products meet exact engineering specifications.

  • Geometric Tolerances: Strong working knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

Personal Attributes & Physical Requirements

  • Work Ethic: Reliable, professional, and meticulous when completing tasks and following instructions.

  • Soft Skills: Good administrative habits along with clear oral and written communication skills.

  • Cognitive Skills: Sharp analytical mind with strong decision-making capabilities.

  • Physical Capability: Ability to safely pick up, handle, and move bulky objects weighing up to +/- 20kg.
